Fast-growing Texas specialty coffee roaster and retailer White Rhino Coffee named Sara Escamilla as president and CEO, replacing the companyโs founder Chris Parvin.
Escamilla has been with the company for the past six years, serving most recently as chief operating officer. During that time, the company grew from two locations to its current 13 shops throughout the Dallas Metroplex โ including one inside its Dallas roastery โ together employing about 140 people.
According to her LinkedIn, Escamilla previously served as COO of the Parvin Group, also led by Chris Parvin, which includes the real estate group Parvin Properties, the White Rhino Coffee business and the affiliated nonprofit White Rhino Foundation.
The group says its mission is to โcreate profitably growing companies so that we can give back to the Kingdom of God, make the world a better place, and enrich our employeesโ lives.โ
According to an announcement from White Rhino, Chris Parvin is stepping down from the coffee business to โfocus on time with his family and other pursuits.โ
Escamilla said that plans are underway to further expand the White Rhino brand throughout North Texas and into new regional markets.
โWeโre focused on sustainable, intentional growth,โ Escamilla said in the announcement. โThat means scaling in ways that allow us to preserve what matters most โ our people-first culture, our commitment to quality and the warm, welcoming experience our customers count on every day.โ
